Derek there is a new doc out on Rodriquez....called search for sugarman or something like that....Im still loving his music thanks for the intro and any of you who missed this guy check him out...late 60's early 70's latin influenced pop

(not to boast but...) I bought the Rodriguez "Cold Fact" record back in the 1980's because all of V's SAfrican reli's were grooving to it. Bought it in SA, actually. And I think that is part of the story, that the guy was unkniowen for 30 years other than in SA, and has slowly been re-discovered. Nice music. Sounds a bit like Jose Feliciano (who should not be dismissed immediately from the pantheon, imo)
And on that note, time to add Signor Feliciano to my Rdio collection. To be more precise, Rodriguez is more like Jose F. on quaaludes.
